COVID-19 Statement READ MORE

ISO 45001 and ISO / IEC 17025

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought immeasurable consequences and the IAF – International Accreditation Forum – which is one of the bodies that issue directives for the accreditation of certifying bodies, published on April 2020 a notification extending the validity of OHSAS 18001: 2007 until September 30, 2021.

Likewise, in a joint statement from ISO and ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) published in June 2020, the deadline for the transition to the ISO 17025standards was moved to June 1, 2021, replacing the original deadline for certified laboratories to complete the transition in November 2020.

During this transition period, the two versions, ISO / IEC 17025: 2005 and ISO / IEC 45001: 2017, remain equally valid and applicable, provided they are certified by a certifying body accredited by ILAC.
